Couples Counseling

RK Care group offers couples counseling for a variety of presenting challenges that may need the intervention of a neutral party. In a collaboration with a therapist, a couple is able to identify aspects of their relationship they would like to change and improve. Once these aspects are identified the couple and the therapist can create goals and a plan of action to achieve these goals that would facilitate the needed improvement within the relationship. Our counseling for couples address both issues that need immediate attention and issues that would improve the couples’ long-term happiness and satisfaction.

Family Intervention

RK Care Group offers a specialized service for families that addresses issues related to overall family functioning. Issues that come up in our families can be overwhelming and sometimes we do not even know where to start. Hence, RK Care Group created a family intervention service where a trained professional can meet you wherever is most comfortable for the family whether that is in an office or at home. With our family intervention service, you are provided with an in-depth family assessment of challenges and overall functioning. Then, together with a trained professional the family will explore and discuss goals they would like to achieve. If you suffer from a chronic pain and/or medical condition, this is for you! This group will give you the opportunity to hear how other people view and experience their painful moments. In this group you will have the opportunity to share your experience, thoughts and feelings about your journey with chronic pain and/or medical condition

Group Name: From Trauma to Healing

About the group: Have you experienced trauma? Trauma can have a long-lasting effect on an individual. Can trauma be explained? Can we heal from a traumatic event? All of this and Much MORE will be discussed and processed in this group. You will have the opportunity to learn about common reactions to trauma and the healing process. You will have the opportunity to share you experience with trauma and how it shaped who you are today.

About the group: Socialization, peer pressure, bullying, making friends, social isolation & academic pressure are examples of the areas that will be covered in this class. Through play and discussions, your child will be able to learn new skills to assist him/her in dealing with various challenges that many children experience.

Group Name: Being a Teen Today

About the group: Being a teen has always been hard. You go through so many changes and challenges and can feel so misunderstood. There is so much going on between peer pressure, school responsibilities, pressure from social media, and perhaps challenges with family members. Given all these challenges we have created a group for teens to talk to each other about what they go through. This group will be facilitated by a clinical therapist to guide and help them overcome their difficulties.
